Make sure to follow Jeramiah on Twitter @jgppogi08. Jeramiah Parks is currently at Kandahar
AB Afghanistan, and a member of the United States Air Force stationed at McEntire JNGB in Columbia, SC. His base mascot is the swampfox!
He has been in the Air Force 14 years now, been to Afghanistan twice (now) and once to Iraq, and alot of short Temporary Duty trips in between the long trips. He said he will probably stay in till he hits that magic 20 year retirement mark.
I asked him what would they wouldlike for me to send and he responded -
"
Really anything you could send is great, for ideas maybe some little cans of v8, little debbie fruit pies, (apples the best) drink mixes, granola bars, energy bars, freeze pops are good too(helps us cool down in this heat) anything you can send is great! We apreciate anything you can do for us, the chow hall food gets boring it all tastes the same, different shapes but all tastes the same....
I think sometimes the support is the best gift of all, wish their was more people like you that support us, thank you! "
Please join me in sending care packages to our deployed soldiers! You can donate to help with shipping or send items.

Profiled Soldier - Nicole Duyon-Meagher
Army soldier
Nicole Duyon-Meagher is currently in Afghanistan and I have shipped her some items from home to let her know we are thinking about her and are proud of her. Nicole said "I deployed to Iraq from 2008-2010 and now Afghanistan 2010-2012. Between all the training and boots on ground I've only been home for about 6 months in the past 3 years! I miss my family and friends and hopefully this is my last deployment.
An army recruiter walked up to me one day in the cafeteria of my highschool and asked me what I wanted to do with my life. I told him I want to help people. He told me, what a greater way than to serve your country. So I looked into it and just knew thats what I wanted to do. The first day I put on my uniform I felt like this was what God had planned for my life and I had worked up to the many challenges that I would encounter. I was already used to traveling, already used to being away from my famliy and friends and already a hard worker working towards a goal. The army was perfect."
Thank you for you courage and drive Nicole!
